I agree, but keep in mind that even though the ball may be a great lump of
metal the skin effect still applies.

 A solder ball, being a great lump of metal, can carry a huge current.
The real limit is going to be the trace or via that connects to it.
But yes, as Aubrey says,  get the numbers from your supplier.
