Hi, I am doing S parameter simulations of differential pairs in connectors and PCBs. I have done single ended simulations on a 4 port device and I have also converted the results to 2, mixed mode ports, to look at the results in differential mode. Of course, the connectors that I am using are large and have many differential pairs. It occured to me that if I were to look at crosstalk between the pairs, I would need a very large S parameter matrix to do so. In addition, I am not sure that I would know how to create such a mixed mode matrix. So, is it better to look at crosstalk between the indivitual single ended ports, or somehow create a matrix to look at the crosstalk differentially. I have read the Agilent papers on "Balanced Device Characterization" but they only work with simple 4 port devices.
