When we bred our bulldog and thankfully had a scheduled c-section. She had 4 pups. 3 were water pups. You can get the fluid off some if they are not too engorged. One of ours lived 3 days and was normal size when she died. She just never nursed properly. Cleft pallets usually go hand in hand with the water/walrus pups also. Was a horrible ordeal and never bred her again. It is common is bulldogs and chihuahua's. I'm sure other breeds also. It is also called Anasarca. There is a good bulldog website that has pictures and some info on this disorder. Rocketcitybulldogs.com. Anita Hernandez **************Planning your summer road trip?
