It all boils down to the GSD's of the past having the diseases that was bought 
up to today
through breeding these dogs by double-tripling up off these lines.  All the 
tests in the world
will not give you the answers without first knowing which GSD's are 
responsible.  Genetics
is never simple since without knowing which GSD's had the defect in the 
beginning even
markers can't give the answers.  If you go back and read past GSD 
Genetic books, GSD Reviews and other magazines,  read responses people have 
discovered with their GSD's
that can be a start.  I have been researching for years for answers to 
Hemangiosarcoma and yes
certain GSD's are in every pedigree of these dogs that died from it.  Years 
ago it was called
blood vessel disease or similar name but it was all the same disease.  Also 
add that certain GSD's thought to have bloat did actually die from 
Hemangiosarcoma after bloodwork, ultrasound and exploratory surgery was done.

I wish!  So many GSD's also have E.P.I. I see so many heartbreaking stories 
with the humans battling this and trying to help their dogs. A registry for all
