They were all given. I just didn't get them down, but Stormy did. I leaned
over to her and got some of them. I suspect they will be in the
Board-o-gram.
I was told the Budget and Finance Committee worked for three days prior to
the meeting. There were evidently some strong language in the meetings, but
by the time they got to the board meeting, they had a united front. I
appreciated that.
We are losing money at an astounding rate. We used to have a treasurer
who did all the books for free, and now we ask Nadine to do it all, but Sam
is going to help. We used to have a volunteer editor for the Review, and of
course, it made money. We used to have twice the membership, and three
times the entries at the National. Our Futurities had classes of 20, I know, I
judged one like that.
Times they are a-changing. I am thankful we have a board with the cahones
to do what has to be done to save the club. I hate some of the decisions,
but that is why they get the big bucks and the pleasure trips through
airports in freezing snow and ice.
I give thanks every day that I am not on the board.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
