Subject: Dogs that take your breath away I bought my first conformation GS in 1975, and I was very lucky to be able to assist at three american nationals right at the beginning. Here are three emotional moments that I'll never forget. The first national I attended was in 1976 in Niagara Falls, NY. Before the judging started, Mr. Bob Hamilton read a tribute to Am & Can Ch. Lakeside's Harrigan, 1972 U.S. GV and 1973 Can. GV. Here is what Billy would have left, if he could have left a message: "Dear master" I've explained to St. Peter I'd rather stay here, outside the pearly gates. I won't be a nuisance, I won't even bark. I'll be very patient and wait. I'll lie here and chew a celestial bone, no matter how long you may be. I miss you so much, if I went alone, it wouldn't be heaven for me." signed Billy. I do not need to tell you how the assistance felt, most people in the stand could not hold their tears, it was really emotional. That great dog died so tragically at an early age. But the moment that took even more my breath away was when I saw Am & Can. Select Cobert's Reno of Lakeside in 1983 in the ring in Philadelphia for the Parade of Greats with a few of its progenies following him, Reno was trying to follow Mr. Moreno at a very slow pace, he was 14 years old near 15, every body was crying in the stand, Mrs Fisher, who was the judge, could not talk to any body because she was in tears and she finally said: "I am sorry folks, but when Reno is in the ring, I cannot help crying." This moment really took my breath away and also the assistance's as well. I am also very proud of being the breeder of the AM Select 5, 3x Can Select, Ch. Dynamic's B Nadiana's mother. It was a great joy for me to see that awesome bitch going around the ring with Morris, she was really something to look at, always the same pace, never a sign of tiredness. She was a great bitch with a huge heart, she will never be forgotten. Thank you to give us the opportunity to share those great moments with you.
