The idea that only the professional breeders and show people should be on
this list has validity. However, you breed the dogs and you show the dogs TO
WHAT ULTIMATE PURPOSE? Healthy well built animals are sorely needed for Search
and Rescue; Leading the Blind; assisting the farmer; assisting the police and
military and myriad purposes. But you say that these ultimate purposes are not
the interests on this list. I thought we had Working Dogs--but you say you
don't want them Working! The jobs for these dogs are anathema to you.
So--once you get them bred and shown what is it you want to do with them?
There's nothing more thrilling to me than to see a magnificent German Shepherd
doing the job it was bred for. They are, indeed, magnificent moving full out
around a ring that's large enough to clearly show what they can do. But--then
what?
