if we couldn't use the free compost area we would be charged for dumping
it.. trust me, the dumping fees these days is getting very high!!
good luck on leaving it left to wash away.. here in BC we are very conscious
of environmental effect.. and washing into the ground can impact ground
water supplies to others..
we live on a hill and we have neighbors who live below us...years ago, I had
a neighbor who's wife was chronically ill.. he claimed it was because I had
dogs on my property and that the run off polluted his well with dog urine
and feces. he called Environmental Canada with a complaint and out they
came. I had to pay for his water to be tested, and I was fined for not
promptly picking up in the yard, especially during the winter when it rains
non-stop, and creating an environmental hazard
The end result was that his claims were unfounded, his wife had cancer.. but
I didn't get any of my money back either.. I just leaned a lesson..
