It is amazing that two intelligent, educated people can look at the same
situation and have completely opposite opinions. I feel that there is more
politics involved in the all-breed ring than in the specialty ring and I
have, in the last ten years, won much more in the all breed ring than in the
specialty shows. I go to all breed shows if a dog I own or co-own is being
shown or I go to visit friends who will be at that particular show. I go to
specialty shows for the love of the breed. There is no comparison between
the two venues. The specialty judges, honest or not, are German Shepherd
people and that is who I want to be with, talk dogs with and visit with.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I know this will offend many people who think differently but this e-mail
was written only to show that people can have opposing views of a similar
situation and still love the same breed of animals. We all want what is
best for the German Shepherd Dog. D.D.
