Pet shops are using the "other" registries, and I see more and more ads in the paper for litters of these other registries. As these become more and more prevalent the average buyer will see these other initials and become more acceptant of them. Many puppy buyers just want to know if the dog has "papers" and don't much care if they are AKC or ACA or whatever. So unless you spay and neuter each puppy before it leaves your property (which I don't advocate BTW) you really don't have any control over whether the dog is bred or not. All you can do is screen as best you can, tell them the importance of spaying/neutering and hope for the best. I for one would think long and hard before I would want to start to take people to court over a breach in my contract.
