From my observations, Vicki is correct regarding the
public perception of the in-ring temp. test. This may
not be heard at the specialty shows, but at the big
all-breed shows I have attended the difference in ring
procedure is noted by the spectators. The conclusion
on the part of the public is that GSDs must be vicious
dogs because the judge can't just go up to them like
everybody else.
