I do not know you personally so I am not your friend, neither am I your enemy
for the same reason!!!!
I am just another breeder.....nowhere in your email does it state that you
accept responsibility for what you breed...maybe that was just an omission on
your part...but that is a big red flag for me....yes, there are times in our
lives when bringing another dog into our households is difficult, but it can be
done if you are responsible for what you breed, even if only on a temporary
basis. There are other ways of accepting responsibility...financially
supporting and finding a foster home and doing everything you can to find a
permament home for this dog and maybe you have done all this?...but I did not
see it mentioned... If this dog was so uncontrolable, another option would be
to pay to have it mercifully euthanized. Incidently, in the majority of cases
when you bring a strange bitch into your home, there is always an adjustment
time, most bitches do not throw out the welcome mat for other bitches and in
this case, the bitch coming in to the home in this case is probably stressed a
little herself don't you think. By the way, my dogs are in their kennel runs
all day when I am at work, I do not think that is cruel or unusual
punishment....neither is crating a dog in your house...especially on a
temporary basis while you find a home where someone has the time to spend to
give it care and and training to possibly turn it into a wonderful companion ...
As to whether or not this is off topic...I think this list is an appropriate
place to share such concerns...this is a list that has many breeders on it;
you've seen their names on dogs; they have been around for a while; some of us
know each other very well; others we only know by comments on the lists..and
that is not knowing someone!!! It is also appropriate because this is a list
where possibly one could find solutions or help for this type of
situation...How many times on this list have I heard people comment on getting
themselves into situations because of simply not knowing. Sharing knowledge
and asking for advice regarding dog situations is what this list is all about.
I am glad this was shared on this list, and each of us can use this information
in whatever way we see fit...positive or negative...and I say that because this
list is also about stating your opinion and that is what I am doing...Pauline

They say you dont have to explain your actions cause your FRIENDS dont need
it and your enemies dont believe you anyway-well, I believe I have mostly
friends here on the list but I am going to explain anyway-
this is a copy of the email I just sent to Cheryl Olson who tried to insult
me and my judgement on this matter.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION the reason I did not take back the bitch Pat is
talking about has NOTHING TO DO WITH HER BEING SPAYED. Why dont people find
out all the circumstances before they try to denigrate someone and insult???
The REAL reason I did not take her back is because I could not--she is dog
aggressive-the reason she was given up is because the people who had her
did nothing with her-no training and she started fighting with their other
bitch. The is a 3 yr old adult who would have caused untold problems in my
home with my other bitches-I cant imagine having her here and having her
fighting with my other girls. And I certainly would not want her to have to
Live in the kennel. Or in a crate. So--since you are obviously so smart
that you can insult me--do you have a suggestion what I should have done with
her had I taken her back and brought her home to live here???????? Or
perhaps I should put all my other girls out in the kennel and have her live in
the house alone?? For the most part-my girls get along and I cannot bring
another adult female who is DOG AGGRESSIVE into my home.
Next time you feel you have to insult someone-FIND OUT ALL THE
CIRCUMSTANCES FIRST PLEASE.
