The white is a masking gene right? You would have to know what the phenotype
of the whit dog really was underneath the masking gene. Do they have coat
color tests the find that out?

Can't answer questions regarding breeding white to black or
a whilte to a black and tan.
I personally would not do it............can't answer it!!
Our experience has been that black dogs definitely intensify
the pigment......the black....and
the tan.

I once bred a tall dog to a short bitch hoping to get
in-between offspring. What I got was half tall and half
short. There went my theory of breeding....
As to breeding a white to a black, that's where you get
Dalmatians!
