Ok folks, we need to talk!
I am beginning to look for a place to have the party. I have several
emergencies going on at the same time. For all I know at this point I am going
to be in DC and not at the National. There are things going on that I cannot
control. But I am going forward as best I can with plans anyway.
So, I am looking for a place in Wentzville, as it is close to the site and
close to most of the hotels.
I need to get some sort of a head count. Mo, how many came last year?
And if you are coming to the party this year, let me know.
The day we are hoping for is Wednesday, so we don't have any events
overshadowing the party and we can start around 8 and go till some drop.
I need to know what you will bring to donate to the auction, I will be
keeping a list which will be published on the list once a week or so. And I
need a head count. If I secure a place for less than 50 and we have 200, there
will be problems. So, if you can, this week tell me if you want to attend the
party, what you will donate to the auction, which benifits resuce, and IF YOU
LIVE IN THE ST LOUIS AREA AND KNOW OF A PLACE WITH GOOD FOOD AND DRINK LET ME
KNOW THAT TOO.
I am not the world greatest party planner (bar mitzva's aside, they come
pre-packaged) so I will take any help I can get.
As I said, there are crisis all around me, my brother who cares for mom is in
an ICU. My younger son is already crashing in school and 2 of my dogs are on
antibiotics.
I can use all the help I can get, but I will do all I can.
I look forward to being swamped with email of ideas, donations, and help.
