[ SHOWGSD-L ] laporascopic gastropexy

Who has had laparoscopic gastropexy done, and what are your thoughts on it?
Recovery time? Ever have a dog torsion after the procedure had been done? And
yes, I know it is very expensive, but so is torsion surgery.
A friend (who is on this list and could probably provide more details)
attended a seminar on bloat at Alameda East (in Denver). The vet told the
participants that a genetic link has not been established and therefore, he
recommended everyone with a breed prone to it should have gastropexy done. A
breeder asked about hiding the condition in an animal used for breeding, and
the vet reiterated that gastropexy should be done. Thoughts?
