Urban Carnivore makes a prepared gentian violet mixture for cleaning ears
for those who have a hard time finding the ingredients. It is available to
order online from Urban Carnivore, and can probably be found in other pet
supply sources. I buy mine at a local supply store in my area in
Canada. It is gentian violet, boric acid and witch hazel, works like a charm.
