Also remember that pacing is a compensation issue - so sometimes you can get 
them out of the pace, but suddenly you have a dog who sidewinds or tracks 
parallel in front..

 

You need to carefully evaluate if the dog is pacing because he is lazy (DoG 
knows that happens) or if there is a serious structural issue that will be 
visible in some other manner.
