I have had/seen a few over the years and from my experience with them,
whether they lance it or not it will cauliflower or wrinkle up to some degree

will not stand up good again. They often will either drain or go down on
their own, or you can have it lanced....but either way I have never seen one
end
up a normal erect ear again. (and $600 seems like a ridiculously high number
to pay to lance or aspirate it unless he is doing some kind of plastic
surgery!)

I had a bitch in the early 90's that had a hematoma dead center in the ear.
My vet lanced and "buttoned" it front to back.....her ear stayed up, she
took a BIS the next year. It was caught early, iced well to dry the blood
quick
then lanced. We left the buttons on for 14 days.
