As an owner breeder of a BIS I can tell you there is nothing like it. Your dog
does have to be really good to make it that far. It also needs to have the
training that it takes to get that far at a dog show. It is just wonderful
when it all comes together.

Well, I know it always gave me a thrill when my dog did well in the group and
beat some awsome dogs that were great representatives of their breeds. I
have never been fortunate enough to have a BIS but the Group ones are some of
the highlights of my dog show life. Even better than a BIF and a BISS!!! Just
my
opinion, but I was floating when that happened. Yes, all the all breed
judges are probably not real knowledgeable about GSD's but then I can say the
same
about some of the so called specialty/breeder judges!
That's what makes this hobby so fun...we all have a different view...I love
all breeds and I love specialties...guess I just like dog shows period.
