Whenever you buy any pup you aren't guaranteed anything. The vast majority of
shepherds will never turn out. I have friends in other breeds were they have
litters of five and they all finish. Not in this breed! When I first started
in dogs, I spent larger sums of money for young puppies and quickly learned
that puppies aren't worth the 3-5, 000.00 people charge for them. At four
months you still have to make past teeth, x rays, and that still doesn't mean
they won't fall apart. I think in fairness when puppies are purchased they
should be sold for a reasonable fee and as they get over the hurdles then more
money can be requested.
2, 000.00 honestly isn't a lot to pay for for a prospect particularly if she is
from top producing lines. You can always breed an oversized bitch. Actually,
we are hurting for males. When I see doggy bitches they excite me. I have
great hopes for them in the whelping box.
