I don't agree.....There has been so much discussion/controversy over what to do
with the White GSD that it is my belief that the Board opted to take the route
of putting it to the membership for a vote. Before the money would be spent to
send out ballots to vote on the subject, it is protocol to send the proposed
change to the AKC to get their weigh in on whether or not the change would even
be accepted. Once the AKC says that it is a change that we could incorporate
into our standard, then we, the parent club members would vote on the change.

Have I missed seeing the reason for the change in the standard ? The
purpose of the GSDCA is still to support the betterment of the breed.
So far, the only reason I have seen to change the standard is to better
the club, money and members. It is much like the federal government
whose members of Congress are working to further their parties withcomplete
disregard for what is best for the country. Seems those who
are pushing for the change are working strictly for the interests of the
club, not the breed. If someone can show us how the change in the
standard can promote the breed, please do so. otherwise, there can
be no valid reason for the change. Please, all, read the mission
statement of the GSDCA.
