[ SHOWGSD-L ] building a dog friendly house

If you could build your dream dog friendly house, what would it have in it?
Are there any special materials you would absolutely use - or absolutely NOT
use? Room arrangement? Square footage? Outdoor areas, porches, patios, etc.?
We are looking at plans now to build. I have some things I definitely want.
Everyone balks at the notion of stained concrete floors with drains, so my next
choice for flooring is stained concrete (minus the drains) and/or tile. We are
in Louisiana, so a basement is apparently out of the question. (I thought a
walk-out basement would be a good dog-friendly style.)
