The Show/Trial manual > that I no longer have describes exactly what it is and > isn't. It isn't a class either regular or non-regular. That's where the mistake lies, in assuming that it is a "special attraction". IT ISN'T LISTED THAT WAY IN THE PREMIUM LIST AT ALL! (And that's why several calls to the AKC got different answerers for different folks, if you read what Helen and D.D. forwarded from Bill; the question was asked incorrectly.) ******************************************************************* quoting Bill ">Sorry I have not been able to get on earlier to answer several responses to >the "Best Puppy" question. Now, had it been listed as a "special attraction" (like perhaps the Parade of Greats, etc.) different story. Here's the link, page 4 of 30: _http://www.raudogshows.com/shows/October/SHEP06.pdf_ (http://www.raudogshows.com/shows/October/SHEP06.pdf) Don't take my word for it; open the link and scroll down to page 4. Non Regular. When you ask the question correctly, and specify that the competition was a non regular class, I believe you'll get the same answer that Rita Sandel received from the AKC and posted to the list several days ago, that the defeated puppy was NOT eligible.
