That's where the mistake lies, in assuming that it is a "special  
attraction".  IT ISN'T LISTED THAT WAY IN THE PREMIUM LIST AT  ALL! (And that's 
why 
several calls to the AKC got different answerers for  different folks, if you 
read 
what Helen and D.D. forwarded from Bill; the  question was asked incorrectly.)

Back to me:
 
The BP  competition was listed, page 4 of 30 in our premium list as a  "NON 
REGULAR CLASS".  Now, had it been listed as a "special attraction"  (like 
perhaps the Parade of Greats, etc.) different story.

Don't take my word for it; open the link and scroll down to page 4.   Non 
Regular.
 
When you ask the question correctly, and specify that the competition was a  
non regular class, I believe you'll  get the same answer that Rita Sandel  
received from the AKC and posted to the list several days ago, that the 
defeated  
puppy was NOT eligible.
