Mary - I am glad that you have had good experiences. I can provide a list
of folks who were told no, were told their input didn't matter, and several
other horror stories. I can also attest for my experiences, which have not
been pretty (asked to be on committees, then kicked off (this happened
several times), anonymous threatening letters when I ran for the board,
emails telling me to simmer down and wait my turn and pay my dues, on and
on).
