Good Point the problem arises in that there are not that many good highways in
the West as there
are in the Midwest. So when members are traveling from the Midwest or the East
not familiar with
driving through Mountain Terrain it can be a difficult travel. October like
Michigan the Western states
can develop snow storms much more dangerous for travel. When I had my C-Band
Sat use to get the
Denver channel and knew when the snow storm was there soon it would be here
always was. It is hard
traveling in a snow storm and traveling with dogs would be much harder. Now
traveling even in
the southern states through their little Mountains it is hard in snow. Rain
will never be as wearisome
as snow will be.

The West far
state California is Pacific Time Zone, Colorado Mountain
Time Zone, St Louis is Central Time Zone, New Jersey
Eastern Time Zone.
So West
would be Pacific to Mountain Time Zones and St Louis Central
Time Zone in the central of country. New Jersey Eastern Time
Zone other side of the country.
However the
Western states several miles of no population not the case
in the Eastern part of the country. The Midwest still
seems to have the most GSD showing by the Specialty
Statistics. The route a person takes makes the difference
in Mileage.
However it does
not matter where the National is held as long as it is
affordable and suited for all events. Good turnout of dogs,
handlers and owners showing up not just entering for the
National to be a success.

The St. Louis National

that mean that St. Louis is an East Coast National? I
don't think anyone would dispute that the 2013
National was on the East Coast.
The
Colorado National is 379

489 miles East of the geographical center of the

If the
board wants to call
these locations Central
East and Central West, I think folks would be okay with
that. But, trying to convince people that Denver is on
the West Coast is just making people mad. Colorado
isn't even in the same Time Zone as the West
Coast. Why not just be honest about it?
Just saying . . .

The Board
just
voted to go To Colorado in 2019 - as
soon as a contract is signed, the dates will be
anounced
From the time the
Board did
not sign to go to Reno, sites
for 2019 have been researched. Say thank you to all
those that worked tirelessly to bring a th West Coast
National 3 Colardo and one
Utah)
Middle of the Country or
close
enough, is St Louis and there have
been 3 and this year a forth
One East Coast withthe largest membership of
performance and conformation people
The Boards (2) different
Boards,as well as other members such as Joan to name one,
have worked hard to make the membership on the west coast
happy.
They
should
recceive Kudos and not be criticized
In Utah conformation was in
one building and a long walk away in another building was
Obedience. Agility opted not to use the building. I
was working obedience and had someone call me to go back
to conformation to double a dog.
You could not see Obedience from
conformation in Utah
