The last time I flew, to DC to get a car down for Mom, I got to the airport and
found out my flight had been canceled the night before and I got no notice. It
was a mess that I had to suffer through, no direct flight, extra time needed to
change planes, no breakfast or lunch till I got to DC and that was a rush of
bad food. Glad there was no dog to suffer with me!!!!
The auto train, only between DC and Orlando, was much more tame at least, but
it does not allow dogs at all.
I rather drive!

Worse, I had this happen on the second leg of a flight, years ago. Dog
going to WI, out of Philly, 2 legs both confirmed when I put the dog on the
first
leg to be Boeing 7 somethings. BUT, the second leg wasn't full, plane was
changed to an Airbus, 500 crate didn't fit (I was told), owner was waiting in
WI....no dog. Dog was in the middle of the country somewhere waiting for the
next Boeing 7 something.
Life lessons learned; YES, they do change plane type based on bookings,
planes being held up in prior city etc., and I'll NEVER, EVER fly a dog
anything
but non-stop.
Flying dogs just sucks:(
