[ SHOWGSD-L ] Working Dog Support

I just read the most unbelievable post, said the GSDCA Board was against
working dogs. At the last GSDCA Board meeting the Board voted 100% to approve
the
WDS Committee and totally support it. 100% is ALL of us, no one said no they
didn't want to support working dogs.
And, the GSDCA Regional Club Challenge had participants this earned that
earned ALL of their points from performance, no points were earned in
conformation. Another club entered is the GSD Training Club from Chicago. I
am thrilled
that we are now seeing clubs enter the Challenge who do Performance, Therapy
work, Public Education and other promotional projects instead of just
conformation.
It is my goal for 2006 to have a couple of GSDCA-WDA Clubs enter the
Challenge.
In answer to the post about the Board being against working dogs, you are
totally wrong, we actively embrace ALL aspects of the German Shepherd Dog and
support ALL Venues. And once again that is 100% of the GSDCA Board.
