falco had
better genes
then dolf
did....find me
any dog
around now
that goes
back to dolf.
there are
many who go
back to falco.
I bred to Falco
twice both
litters were
large and all
the progeny
were very long
lived. Most of
them lived to
be over ten
and many
lived to be
over twelve.
Connie had
good longevity
in her
bloodlines. He
also had
incredible
character and
produced it.
He exuded
that incredible
strong
presence that
can only be
seen in very
few dogs. Dolf
had soft ears
and lacked the
enthusiasm of
a great show
dog. Falco
was never
nominated for
the futurity
while dolf
went futurity
victor in 63.
Never in their
careers did
dolf ever get
placed in front
of falco. as for
alco you gave
him a major
reserve.

NORMA: y... Alco was a beautiful Shepherd...I stated that...I would have
preferred more extension in the forequarter..
But.... We are not talking 'mediocre' dogs here...
Do you recall my Winner's Dog??

I disagree on Falco's producing ability based on his Genetics... I was never
a fan of Marko Gurkenland, his Maternal Grandsire...... Not enough male
for me...
As far as Dolf is concerned his dam coming off Harald Tigges, I thought
Harald had a lot to offer and bred to him, and I thought highly of Iris
Brechten, who was a better bitch all the way around than Katja...JMO
...particularly
combined with Bernd...

But differences of opinion are what makes Dog Shows and Breeders and
Handlers and Trainers and Judges, what they are and prefer, ... after
all...So....you have your opinion and I have mine... Barb w.
