Everyone -

This morning while out herding, I felt comfortable in jeans, a long sleeve
tee shirt and a jacket & cap (because the wind was blowing), this afternoon -
it was warm enough to lose the coat. It is now 8:30 PM and the thermometer
says 55 on the front porch.

The barns are climate controlled - much warmer than ones in St. Louis last
year. Also the floor is concrete with rubber mats, so much cleaner.

In mid-October, it is generally crisp in the morning, warms up in the
afternoons and then cools back off when the sun falls behind the mountains. If
you
are planning an excursion into the foothills (Estes Park) or the mountains
(Breckenridge, Vail), you might need a warmer coat, gloves and a hat. Usually
the snow doesn't fly until Halloween.
