[ SHOWGSD-L ] What lessons have you learned?

1. My first dog was a disaster (Heidelberg). The lesson I learned was that
getting a good dog is not as easy as going to a fancy kennel with lots of
beautiful dogs. I learned from that experience to ASK QUESTIONS, get
references, and do your homework.

2. People who are funny or sweet or kind on the list are always even more so
in person!

3. People who are blunt or negative or stubborn on the list are sometimes
not always so in person. (Hiding behind the computer screen gives a false
sense of courage.)

The most important thing I have learned is to trust my gut. When my gut
tells me no, I need to step back and re-evaluate things. :)
