Well, if this is indeed the case.... I like Tom's idea of suing Mr Hunte!

I posted yesterday what I was told about the hearing on Hunte. Nothing I
posted went through, so here is what I was told by three board members.
A secret closed session was called. Bill Pfeiffer gave a presentation in
which he told the board he had spoken to Hunte's attorney and they discuss
an
anti-trust law suit against the GSDCA depending on what was done on Hunte's
application.
Nancy said she didn't hear Bill mention anti-trust, so perhaps I was given
wrong information. However, I now have heard from another board member who
said
she remembers the conversation as I stated. I also heard that they may be
a recording of the meeting, I know we used to run a tape at all board
meetings
and if so, it could be checked.
Then, without any other discussion Mr. Hunte made his presentation. A vote
was immediately called, and it was nine to eight to admit Mr. Hunte.
I was told by two board members that Carmen had advised them before the
hearing to obtain extra insurance, since they could have personal liability
over
this issue. One board member told me that after she was told this, she did
call Dan Smith, but was unable to talk to him about insurance coverage for
the
club, before she was called on to vote.
I was not there and only know what others have told me. If I am wrong,
then
those who were there will tell us. But, it seems to me that with what they
were faced with, our board did the very best they could to serve the club.
I
strongly feel we owe them thanks for doing a very difficult job, and doing
it
in a professional manner, no matter how they voted.
