I asked the person with me at the time, if I remembered it wrong. The older
I get, the more often it happens.
What happened was I said how expensive was it? You said, very. I said,
thousands, you said yes, I said tens of thousands and you said yes. In
fairness to you, you were working three video feeds, a central control board,
talking to me, and watching the video go out. I think Lanalee thought I was
asking for "hits" not cost. I asked four different people, and no one told
me the cost until I heard it from Helen Fisher.
For $4,000.00 this is a service our club can well afford to give to the
members, (or in reality, give back since we pay for what the club provides
with dues, fees, and donations). I suspect we spend more than that on
lunches.
No one with the exception of Bill Bergraff worked as hard as Lanalee did at
our national, and did it just for us. We need to give her a break next
year, and to recognize that she dedicated her entire national to make the
video work. I don't remember seeing her out of the room for anything all
week. That must change. She may call herself walfwr2, but believe me, she is
social and should be able to spread that cheer in Utah.
