The  technology has been around for a long time now.  AND everyone  could
"tap" in and hear what is going on.
 


Let's face it, the club could save a ton of money by having a  four person 
board, one board meeting a year, and telephone conferences. They  could save 
money by holding the national at a park, and having one judge do it  all. 
They could save money by eliminating the National Meeting, the Victory  
Dinner, and sod. They could save money by using small ribbons for Select, local 
 
judges, letting the judges pay their own way, eliminate championship pins, 
ROM  awards and eliminating the ring decorations.
 
But, that's not the point, is it?  We are a club, a  sport, and a hobby. We 
don't have to answer to our stockholders and post a  profit or pay 
dividends on our stock.  We are a non-profit corporation to  provide to the 
membership an enjoyable activity.  All we do is break even,  and we have been 
doing 
that for close to 100 years.
 
We often tend to forget our purpose to protect our breed,  establish the 
standard for AKC shows, and to have a good time for the  members.
 
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
