When we first started in the conformation side of this sport, we met Paul Murphy, of Clover Acres Kennel. I remember that he seemed to never bring out his dogs until they were ready. But when they were ready, often at age 4 or so, he would show them for three or four weekends, and finish them, all at specialties. It drove people crazy, but, looking back, it sure seems like he knew what he was doing. He must have saved himself tons of money and time over the years.
