For once in my life I am nearly speechless. I joked this weekend that I had

ransformed into a mono syllabic person and all I could utter was 'wow' and
thanks'. What a fulfillment of a dream. Grand Victrix and Best of Breed under
arbara Amidon is an 'award of awards' for me. She wrote the book on breeding

arbara. We are all honored and humbled.
To Bob Drescher - thank you so much for the prestigious award of Winner's Bitch
t the GSDCA National. We were so on cloud nine. And your comments about Aquilla
wow! You are someone who has always stood by your principles - so this award
s special to me. And then Aquilla made you prouder (not to speak of us). It was
ike instant validation of your kind words and strong deeds. Thanks again. You
ill always be a part of her history and our thoughts going forward.
To have the opportunity to own a bitch like Aquilla is the biggest WoW. All the
redit in the world goes to Pat Walker and Mary Ann Imhoff who 'get it' as
reeders. Aquilla is a repeat of some pretty special animals. 2 sisters Kallie
nd Antares - who were select last year and a pretty special 'big brother'
hoenix who is starting to exhibit his heritage in his producing ability, having
ired this year's Best Puppy, Scharo's Phoenix Rising V Deray Wolfcreek and
ome other beautiful youngsters who you will see soon. Her brother Galaxy was
nd this year in 12-18 at the National. Their dam Demilo has done some very good
roducing! And how about daddy Bailey - not too bad a producer himself. :) And I
an't leave out Pat's daughter Debbie (who, by the way I adore). She is right
here next to Pat providing support and anything else we need. What great
riends!!
Leslie, Leslie, Leslie!! WOW again and again! She is now back and at the top of
er game. Nobody could have done it better. It was so hard for me to double
ecause I just wanted to watch. I am so proud of Aquilla but I am also proud of
eslie who has worked hard and is results oriented again. Love you!! You two
ere smooth as silk. And trust me - the teenage things you could see in Aquilla
ike - 'can we please shake paws instead of posing' were there. Aquilla is super
xuberant with a joie de vrie like no one. She loves to show and go, play ball,
hake hands and hug and kiss. Leslie channeled all of that into a superior
erformance with ease. It was pure GORGEOUS.
The strength of this team is Michael and Debbie. While the handler normally
gets
ll of the credit - and believe me I give that to Michael, we have an unsung
ero here. Michael showed Aquilla beautifully to Winner's Bitch and is always
here for me. But Debbie - this is an awesome person, great groomer and trainer
nd good friend. Let me tell you who she trained and conditioned this year for
he National.... the Winner's Bitch (and GVx and BOB), the Best Puppy, the Grand
ictor and Select Sienna and Select Fletcher as well as some who placed or
ot...and they all looked great.
I am truly blessed with a great husband who stayed home, took care of the dogs,
ook care of my mom and allowed me to have a week like no other. And then he
elebrated with me on the phone as I called to give results. Between being
warded the 2010 Canadian Grand Victor and 2010 US Grand Victrix I have had the
ear of my life in dogs. I will never forget it and will always cherish the
emories. Many of my friends were there to join in my joy but if they weren't
hey called and wrote to provide love and support. You all rock and I cherish
ou!!!
