Easier than a bucket but same outcome is a dispenser on the end of your hose
with bleach in it instead of weed killer or fertilizer.

My runs were all gravel for 24 years and I cleaned them with buckets of bleach
& water. It cleaned them thoroughly and killed any urine smell. However, I
found my grandfather's gardening notebook and found the use of limestone rather
than gravel to be his preferred choice for driveways [pure white in Quebec,
lovely]. So, I ordered limestone here in BC, it's either pink, blue or white
[various prices]. We put down blue, and it has flattened down firm just like
concrete [but stones], in the runs and on our driveway. It's utterly the best
decision I have made for resurfacing. No more gravel along with feces in clean
up, it stays put and no more raking to level it out. Besides all these
advantages, it is pretty. The rain doesn't pool, it drains away and if you
have drainage under the runs, so much the better, it still works beautifully.

Last night a friend asked me if I had any tips on how to lessen dog urine smell.
She has a very small yard & 2 Danes who insist upon pee'ing in the same area.
The grass is dead & gone. The soil has changed color. It smells dreadful & rain
water makes it smell worse.
I have a pretty large yard... so I've never had such a problem. I suggested
buying a couple bags of soil & replacing what is there with new... then
covering it with gravel that can be hosed off.
Is there any sort of something she can spray on her existing ground to lessen
the smell?
