[ SHOWGSD-L ] US National films

I don't think anyone works harder than Bobby. I know whoever is managing
the National also is always on the move, but Bobby stands there day after
day. Bob Drescher is also one who gives so much of his time at the
announcer's table every show with little recognition. The same for our board
members.
One of the first thing I had to do when I was on the board was deal with
the fact that a board member had told Bobby he could not film the National as
we had copy written it. I told the board it was not copy written, and was
open to the public. They backed off and we have had the advantage of Bobby
and his films now for years.
I have been told that now the board takes a portion of Bobby's income, and
maybe that is because the club used to have an organization film the
National, but they quit some time ago. It appears that Bobby is not going to
film after this year. It is no longer of value to him to give up his time,
his efforts and his equiptment.
I would suggest a solution is in order, by asking Bobby to continue and to
find a way for it to worth while for him to do so.
All I know is what I have been told. It is up to you to prevent him from
leaving this venture, and only you can prevent forest fires.
