These dogs have been evaluated on temperament but do not have enough ball
drive for Detection work.  This lady helps place many of the shelter GSD's
but is currently out of room.

Hi,

I am going to try calling... I saw 2 young male GSD's today in Victoria @
animal control. I was testing dogs...(detection dogs). They liked the toy,
but when turned loose they would not retrieve; rather just run around. 
One is Blk/Red normal size beautiful dog. Very east german looking. Seemed
very sweet with me; chased the toy but would not pick it up. Wanted to bark
at the other dogs; apparently dog aggressive to some extent. Very healthy
looking. (Both are probably around 2 yrs or so). The other GSD is Blk/Tan
normal size maybe a little younger then the other. His eyes are matted and
he has an injury of some sort on his right side along the ribcage (new
injury; kind of looked like a hot spot) but he seemed a little wobbly in the
rear; not bad, but a little. I'm thinking either his hips aren't great or
possibly it's an injury from a car. His temperament seemed fine; more laid
back then the first and apparently not as dog aggressive. He was picked up
as a stray w/a f choc lab. The other gsd was also picked up as a stray  (but
not with each other). Their time is UP!!!  I asked the manager , "Joe", to
give me until tomorrow to find someone to rescue them.
