[ SHOWGSD-L ] UKC Registration

Does anyone know when UKC started requiring pictures to single register a GSD?
I just tried to register my puppy with them and I received a letter stating
they could not complete the registration until they confirmed with 3 pictures
(one from the front and both sides, clearly showing the tail and any important
details) before they would approve the application. I won't mention they
already ran my credit card, so now I'm really peeved!! Since when do you
charge someone money for services not even rendered yet?!
I was told on the phone they needed to confirm the dog met the breed standard
before they would allow the registration. Is this a result of that Purebred
Dogs Exposed? Is this more scrutiny we are now under as a result of the AR
jerks?!
I love to show in UKC shows, but I will not give them a single entry nor a cent
of my money if this is the direction they are headed in.
Guess this maybe one more reason why my days in this sport are numbered.
Sorry, but I had to vent. I would be interested if anyone knows though or has
any feedback.
