A few months ago, UKC put out an article explaining that they would be
changing the standard for several breeds of dogs, and would be going
through the standards of all of them. This came closely behind the
fiasco at Crufts, with several Breed Champions (whatever they call
them) not being allowed to advance after being examined by a "vet."
Different than AKC, UKC owns the standards, not the clubs. And yes,
this was originally pushed by the PDE hullabaloo and subsequent events
in Europe. YOu would have to go to the UKC website to learn more. It
is on there. The GSD is one of those that they altered the standard.

as a result of the AR jerks?!
I love to show in UKC shows, but I will not give them a single entry
nor a cent of my money if this is the direction they are headed in.
Guess this maybe one more reason why my days in this sport are numbered.
Sorry, but I had to vent. I would be interested if anyone knows
though or has any feedback.
