For many years, when I'd be trying to mentor would-be judges and teach them what type was about, I would say..."when you get your first look at the dog your brain should say "yes" or "no" or "maybe." The dogs that your brain says "yes" are the ones with type. I have to admit that I was tickled to watch the DVD of Dave Rinke's seminar, and see him do the same "yes, no, maybe" scenario. It's really a help to do the first sorting out with that mentality...and Carol is right...it sets foot in the ring and your immediate reaction is YES!!!!!!!!!!!
