NO, sorry, you miss my point entirely. Michael Vicks be damned.
I don't give a #$R about Michael Vicks. What I think is incredible is that this
breed that has been so reviled; these dogs who have been so horribly abused
were able to rise above their circumstances and become in some cases, therapy
dogs, and in others, trusted family pets. Gorant is quoted as saying Michael
Vick might be the best thing that's happened to pit bulls, because in the
aftermath, the true nature of the breed became obvious.
Take a dog, covered with scars from fighting, and turn him into a therapy dog ?
what a tribute to the character of our dogs! And if Michael Vick caused
governments, ordinary citizens to look not at the breed, but at the individual
dog AND the owner responsible for his training instead of condemning an entire
breed ? Sorry, Steven, but that's a GOOD thing.
