I forgot to mention that for both of my guys their absolute all-time
favourite treats are ice cubes made from homemade chicken broth. This gets
their attention no matter how busy they are chasing each other. I stumbled
on this when my brother was ill with throat cancer. It was a way to soothe
the throat and still get him nutrients. It works when the dogs are teething
too.
