This happened in AZ last year and again just about a month ago. I have no
idea how you could 'forget' your dog or kid in a car in this heat. And, yes
the windows are up because the air is always on in the cars here.
It was either last year or the year before, the officer went home from his
shift, had dinner, went to one of his kids games, or something like that,
anyway they didn't miss the dog for SEVERAL hours.
If I don't trip, bump into, or fall over a dog every 3-4 minutes or so, I go
looking. Usually they are sleeping and I get that "WHAT?" look.

A Northern California police officer accidentally left his police dog in the
patrol car yesterday...the dog died...the officer may face charges......this
happens every year with pets and children......I thank God it has never
happened to me or anyone I know...look out Utah I'm on my way!.....speaking
of Utah I'm staying at a hotel suite with two separate rooms, sleeps 6...the
hotel takes animals, very close to next year's National and the cost is 123
bucks a night!...great price since the total cost four four would be about
30 bucks per night...and this is no dump..its a Marriott Townelodge...more
