Breeding so heavily on popular studs decreases the gene pool even further.
There are areas of our country that become "dog incestuous" not for the
purpose of line or in-breeding, but because of popular owners, hyperbole, p.r.,
winning sires, whatever. We need to broaden our horizons, look for sires that
are not the "fad of the moment", but good for the breed.
