Didn't the board vote to allow disqualifying faults for performance awards last
year?
By removing the DQ you will find some judge somewhere putting up a white - we
all know how well the "any fault of gait is a serious fault" works.
Kick them loose the way white Cairns became Westies.

Randy,
The white color would be changed from DQ to a very serious fault. While this
will pretty much assure a white dog will not be competitive in the conformation
ring, they will then be eligible for any of the GSDCA awards in any performance
class. Therefore, should a white dog be so well trained and performs well
enough, it could be eligible of an award such as obedience victor.
I wish people would look beyond the conformation ring. Someone who owns a
white understands no judge will seriously consider them for points, but it
seems that if an animal is a genetic, registered German Shepherd, and the owner
is a member of the GSDCA, why would we conformation people care if the animal
can exhibit in herding, rally, obedience, or agility and be eligible the our
highest club awards given in performance?
