when allot of us started we didn't even know what agility was.LOL we had to
start with obedience that's all there was.LOL

Not only the obedience people but the agility people as well.
I did agility before I did the obedience showing. Then moved to obedience
and now conformation for the last 2 years.

We started in obedience also with a cryptorchid male. If I recall correctly
we received an invitation to join the PC either when he earned his CD or his
CDX.
My husband responded to that invitation and became a PC member. I didn't
join the PC until later., when we were campaigning our first Champion and
foundation bitch.
Aside from the obedience people, clubs have people who are involved in
rescue etc.
I do think that we need to change things, but not to exclude those potential
members who very well could become dedicated regional and PC members.
