SULFODENE --- hands down -- it is cheap works quickly and will heal as well
as
assist in the numbing dept. as well as itching etc. Wal-Mart & PetSmart
both have
it. I used it for many many years on my animals with very good results.

I have used Anbesol with success - numbs the area so no itch, and they don't
like what it
does to their tongue (numbing) if they DO lick the area....
