We have a young male CH. Mar Haven's Last Cowboy Song and he has two
black spots on the INSIDE of his left front leg. Never had that
before....and it
DOES look like two spots of paint or dye. This is the one place you would
never expect to see that and we never have before.
One of the spots is bigger and one is very small........too big to be a scar or
anything
like that. I don't recall him having that as a puppy....not until he was
about 8 months
old did we notice it.
I can only guess that it is the same gene that puts black 'spots' on their
tongue,
and we DO have a lot of dogs with that particular 'mark'.

The little spots can be caused by tick bites. For some reason, the site of
the bite can change the color.....on black, the spots are seen as some white
hairs.
Nothing scientific here, just my observation.
