Almost all of the websites agree that one of the side effects of early
spay/neuter (meaning before the dog is matured and has it's full growth) are
those spindly long legs, and it mostly affects medium and large dogs. While
"Gracie" may go over the agility jumps with ease, her chances of developing an
ACL injury is many times greater than a dog who is intact or neutered after
maturing. The side effects of early neutering are becoming more widely known.
Even if my next dog (should I get one) is a small dog, he/she will mature
before neutering.
